Samsung Galaxy S22 Review: Features, Performance, and Verdict

Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Review-Features-Performance

hi I’m upwards and welcome to another day in the life with me and today we’re going to be taking out the Samsung Galaxy s22 see how it does in 2024 some ways I ever [Music] me okay so let’s talk about why the s22 in 2024 now the s22 has been out on the market for more than 2 years now the price is actually depreciated quite a lot to the point where it’s about the same price as the Samsung a55

Overview of the Galaxy S22

which makes s22 become a very compelling idea to go for instead of the a55 however is the s22 actually that good in 2024 so in this day in the live I’m going to be testing out everything from the performance the display the cameras and of course the battery life and we’re going to see how the s22 does today I’m also going to keep an indicator on the bottom of the screen to show the time and the battery

percentage throughout the day so you get a rough estimate of how the s22 performs throughout the day and what task and what things make it drain a lot of battery all right let’s get [Music] going okay so it’s currently now 9:46 and our bget percentage is at 83% so let’s quickly talk about the performance of the s22 so I’ve kind of been using it throughout the whole morning just kind of catching up on all my notifications my messages replying to people and just checking out my social media so far

the performance of the s22 has been pretty good it’s not the most snap of course it’s been 2 years since this phone has released so we can’t expect the best performance but other than that it has been really solid so far launching apps using all my social media switching between different apps has been pretty smooth now the s22 that I have here is the exos version which means it’s a little less efficient than the Snapdragon Edition so we’re going to have to see how the battery holds up it’s currently already 83%

which is not looking too good since it’s only still the morning but hopefully it will last throughout the whole day okay so now I have to log into my assignment which is due tonight so I’ll talk to you guys [Music] later we where you come let’s talk about the design of the s22 ever since the s20 the design language of the regular S phone has been quite plain and simple with a slightly curved body a flat

screen and the camera Island that melts into the side of the body it’s safe and simplistic but it doesn’t attract any attention it’s still distinctively Samsung and you can tell it’s an s22 when you see it the back glass and frame are fingerprint magnets which does mean you might want to put on a case or keep wiping it down either way the design has a nice minimalistic effect and it is quite comfortable to hold it still looks very premium 2024 with it glass and aluminium size and compared to other PHS in the market

Camera Quality and Features

it stands as own night so we follow down where you come follow so far so we fing down where you come far okay let’s talk about cameras now so the Samsung s22 comes with free cameras it comes with the wide 50 megap the 10 megap telephoto and the 12 megapix Ultra wide now I’ve been taking quite a few photos throughout the day and I took some photos right now in this area so let’s talk about it damic range is good but not the best in 2024 compared to my iPhone 15 Pro there’s quite a

big noticeable difference between the direct range of the s22 when compared to the iph 15 Pro especially in the highlights and the shadows and with the beautiful sunrise you can see there’s a lot more color a lot more going on with the iPhone 15 Pro than the s22 not to say that the s22 is bad in fact it does incredibly well and if you compare to any other mid-range phone such as the a55 the dynamic range on the s22 is

Way Beyond it however talking about the performance of the camera app I did notice it was a little bit laggy whenever I tried to enter and exit the camera app switching lens does take a little bit of time to go from the 0.6 to the one to the 3x but otherwise the actual camera quality of the photos have great detail colors look great the process looks pretty clean as well so there’s nothing really here to complain about not only that but it is consistent across all three cameras whether are you taking photos on the telephoto

wide or Ultra wide all of the photos look pretty consistent throughout each of the different lenses and there isn’t too many noticeable differences in terms of quality now you do also have the option to shoot at 50 megapixels for the main camera so that option is available if you want to go super high resolution obviously you do need a bit more light but still does a pretty good job regardless videos on s22 look pretty good as well and they also has the crazy ability to shoot up to 8K well I’m not really going

Performance and Software Experience

to use 8K that much but but shooting at 4K is where it’s at and that looks perfectly fine on the s22 you can also shoot at 4k on all the threee different lenses so that means whether you’re shooting on Ultra wide wide or telep lens you’re still going to have the option for 4K and you can also do 4K 60 which is pretty awesome on this device and just for fun this is what 8K looks like obviously you’re not going to actually see an ak8 resolution as YouTube only allows me to upload in 4k but I don’t know there’s

probably not many differences you could see but here’s this one for fun all right let’s go back inside again okay so I’m just about to head off to work but I quickly want to check in with the s22 it’s currently 148 and a b percentage is at 9% that’s about average I would say overall experience with the s22 has been actually pretty good I’ve been enjoying using this phone so far the vibration motor is actually pretty tactile which is really cool because coming from an iPhone user where the vibration mode is

Samsung Galaxy S22 Review Features, Performance, and Verdict
Samsung Galaxy S22 Review Features, Performance, and Verdict

probably one of the best out of any phone out there the s22 does stand as own and it is great to see compared to other mid-range phones where the vibration motor is just super weak so that’s really cool user interface has been pretty all right and yeah that’s pretty cool so far for the s22 let’s keep going [Music] [Music] [Music] always W up close the step into a real Dem in my spirit make okay so I just go break for work it is currently 437 and our budget percentage is at 44% 44% at this time is a little

bit alarming hopefully it’ll make it short the whole day I’m hopeful but this is not looking the best so far now I want to talk about the display so the Samsung s22 has a 61 in olet display it has 120 HZ refresh rate and it has a peak brightness of 1300 nits so 1300 nits in 2024 is decent it’s actually better than most of the mid-ranges such as the a55 which only has up to 1,000 nits so 1300 nits it’s pretty good for outdoors as long as you’re not looking in direct sunlight and most environments is pretty comfortable to use and I don’t think there’s any problems with the display brightness the borders on the display are pretty thin

Battery Life and Charging Speed

they’re not as Raisor thin as the s24 but they still look pretty good in 2024 and compared to other mid-rangers like the 855 which has very thick borders the s22 looks really good taking a look at the viewing experience on the s22 we also have great colors with Samsung displays they’re always going to be set to vibrant so you’re going to expect some pretty good saturation and it also has HDR 10 plus certification and it also has a full HD display at this size is about 427 pixels per inch so that’s a lot of resolution a lot of pixels pretty good on S1 too so that’s my little to check in now about to go back to

work okay so finished work now and it is currently 601 our battery percentage is at 30% so hopefully we’ll get through the night but we’re going to build up a long night ahead going work on my assignment I also got dinner to do so we’ll see how it goes hey hey guys welcome back to ala’s YouTube Channel please remember to like share subscribe and leave down a comment to see more upcoming videos wait

that makes no sense comment what you would like to see in upcoming videos I’m redoing that way was like coming to see we are making dinner we’re making K barbecue all right so quick little checkin it is now 9:25 a percentage is at 24% which is actually pretty good so I think we’re going to be able to make it throughout the whole night but we still got quite a lot to do so we’ll [Music] see all right so we have officially made it to the end of the day it’s currently 11:08 and the BG percentage is now at 21% so now

Should You Buy the Galaxy S22?

it’s time to go through the battery performance to see how the s22 has held up throughout the day and the screen on time was actually 2 hours and 18 minutes 50 minutes was from Instagram 17 from WhatsApp got camera notion the always on display but what actually drained the most battery was Instagram surprisingly with 50 minutes and 16.9% so having 2 hours and 18 minutes of screen on time

with a battery usage of 76% is not very good and compared to other phones such as maybe the iPhone 12 mini this Samsung s22 barely beats it I’m not really sure why I was expecting the s22 to do better in my Dana life but it did survive however I’m not very impressed with this performance so in conclusion the s22 is a solid phone it comes with a great display great performance great set of cameras but the battery

life is quite weak and maybe you should opt for something like the s22 Plus instead which is also the same size as a lot of these new mid-range phones at 6.6 in so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re considering the s22 maybe go for the plus Moto instead.
